Special Days

Memorial Day

M3 Technology is dedicated to supporting all of the men and women serving freedom around the globe. Today we take the time to remember all those who have given their “last full measure of devotion,” in support of this country and its ideals. Today we honor all the troops who have fallen, from the green fields of Gettysburg to the hellish beaches of Normandy; from the bleak despair of a winter camp at Valley Forge to the blistering heat of the Iraqi desert.

Responsibility and Leadership

The latest from the Three Star Leadership Blog.

With the Fourth of July fresh in our minds, it is always easy to recall history’s successes, its triumphs, and celebrations. Tougher to recall are the dangers, the trials, and the tribulations. In the summer of 1944, the United States and its allies undertook a tremendous risk, and placed thousands of men in harm’s way for what was a carefully calculated gamble.

September 11th

On September 11, 2001 the world changed. Evil revealed itself in the skies over America, and left its scars in Pennsylvania, at the World Trade Center, and at the Pentagon. On that day nine years ago, the world reeled in shock and horror at the unprecedented villainy which claimed so many lives. On that day of ultimate treachery, the worst of mankind stood in stark contrast with the best. On that day when fanatics and zealots unleashed their attacks, heroes and champions rushed to the fore, and ran toward the flames, into the smoke, and toward those in need.

Happy Birthday to the United States Marine Corps

Cross posted from the Department of Defense blog.

For 235 years, United States Marines have earned a privileged place in our hearts. For we know that when there is a tough job to do, we can “send in the Marines,” knowing that they will get the job done.

Infamy and Hope

December 7th, 1941 has truly lived on in infamy, and there is no doubt that this disastrous day will long be remembered here in the United States and around the world. Look no further than the nearest veteran’s association, and the hundreds of memorial services that will take place this week in remembrance of that tragic day.

Leadership

This Monday, Americans will celebrate President’s Day. For many this is a day off from work, and an opportunity for great shopping deals, and for time with the family. We should not forget just what is celebrated this day, which the Presidents were, what they accomplished, and what they risked.

Resolve, Integrity, and Justice

For years, Long Island has dwelt in the shadow of New York City and its majestic skyline. Nearly a decade ago that skyline was shattered, devastated by the twisted aims of one evil man and his cohorts. In the space of one September day, thousands of lives were destroyed, and millions subjected to the worst horrors of losing a loved one or friend. For firefighters and police officers, office workers and executives, New York became a war zone that day, and destruction reigned. Amid the terror and the chaos, heroes stepped forward.
